Background of Mothers Day
The modern Mother's Day holiday was created by Anna Jarvis, as a day to honor mothers and motherhood; especially within the context of families , and family relationships. When the first Mother's Day was observed at the request of Anna Jarvis in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on
May 10, 1908, carnations were supplied at the church service. This was because carnations were her mother's favourite flowers.Thereafter, carnations have come to be associated with Mother's Day. White carnations are supposed to represented purity and love. Now it has become a tradition to regard red carnations as a symbol of a living mother; white carnations on the other hand are offered if one's mother has died
Mothers Day at Out Of The Blue
We celeberated Mothers Day on 10th May 2009.
This is an annual celeberation. We have found Mothers Day to be very popular with our guests. Worldwide its said that this day is more popular than Valentine s day. In fact the creator of the event was upset with the commercialisation of this day. The holiday became so commercialized that it's considered by many as a "Hallmark Holiday", i.e. one with an overwhelming commercial purpose.
Its been our endeavour to make Out Of The Blue a place which is associated with warm memories for our guests.

Our team made an effort do a little bit extra for the event. The meal experience was offered a flexibility of choice in food packages, live bands, activity to engage all mothers and lots and lots of gifts. Gifts to ensure that everyone went home with something.

Out Of The Blue offered both a la carte and buffet for this event.
We had a full house on the Sunday afternoon. Our guests enjoyed a live band on this leisurely afternoon. In addition we had a foot massage by True Fitness. The foot massage was a huge hit.

For the first time we had Yves Saint Laurent at Out Of The Blue. The guests got a a free manicure. Mothers Day is a special day and our team ensured that everyone take home something. We had gift hampers from Yves Saint Laurent ,VIP vouchers from True Fitness and Exotic food baskets from Chenab Empex.

The day is truly a day for families to come together.

We look forward to celebrate Fathers Day in June.
